How It Works — 4-Stage Air Purification
- MERV 8 Pre-Filter — captures dust, hair, and large particulates, extending the life of downstream filters and UV-C tubes.
- HEPA E11 Filter — traps fine particulates including pollen, smoke, PM2.5 and aerosolised droplets carrying viruses and bacteria.
- UV-C Germicidal Chamber — Philips/Osram UV-C tubes at 253.7nm inactivate viruses, bacteria, mould spores and other microorganisms as air passes through.
- Active Carbon Filter — adsorbs VOCs, odours, smoke and chemical vapours.
Why UV-C Air Purification?
Airborne pathogens — including SARS-CoV-2, influenza, RSV and tuberculosis — transmit in micro-droplets that linger in indoor air for hours. UV-C light at 253.7nm disrupts the DNA/RNA of these pathogens, rendering them inactive.
