Commercial Core UV-C System — In-Duct & AHU Coil / Air Disinfection (Fresh-Aire UV)
The Commercial Core UV-C System is the high-output germicidal UV-C engine for ducted HVAC and air-handling units. Mounted at the coil, its 254 nm UV-C lamp continuously disinfects the cooling coil, drain pan and passing airstream — suppressing mould and biofilm on the coil and inactivating airborne bacteria, viruses and mould spores as air passes through. It is also the base system the APCO® Rack Kit attaches to for odour & VOC control.

What it does
Continuous germicidal UV-C at the coil delivers two benefits at once:
- Cleaner coils & drain pans — UV-C suppresses mould and biofilm where it forms. A biofilm of just 0.002″ can cut coil efficiency by up to 37%, so a clean coil protects capacity, airflow and running costs.
- Air disinfection on the pass — UV-C inactivates bacteria, viruses and mould spores carried in the airstream as they move through the irradiated zone.
