Fresh-Aire UV APCO® Rack Kit — Commercial Series Odour & VOC Control
The APCO® Rack Kit adds powerful odour and VOC control to a Fresh-Aire UV Commercial Core UV-C system. It uses proven carbon-catalyst technology sized for commercial ducted HVAC and air-handling units. Germicidal UV-C light reacts with titanium-dioxide-infused activated carbon cells to break odour-causing VOCs down into harmless water vapour and CO₂ — with no ozone.

Works with any in-duct UV-C system — any brand
Already running UV-C in your ductwork or air handler? The Ever-carbon APCO® cells are activated by UV-C light in the airstream, so they work alongside any properly configured in-duct UV-C system — not only ours. If another brand’s coil or air UV-C is already installed and you want to add odour, VOC and gas-phase control, this rack mounts in the same UV-C field and does the job.
The rack’s lamp clips accept standard T5 up to a maximum T6 germicidal lamps in matching 32″, 46″ or 60″ lengths — so a comparable UV-C tube from another brand clips straight in.

How APCO® Works
APCO® uses photocatalytic oxidation (PCO) — similar in principle to a car’s catalytic converter. UV-C light reacts with the titanium-dioxide-infused carbon cells to neutralise VOC contaminants, leaving only harmless water vapour and CO₂. The process keeps the carbon cells clean, so they never fill up or need replacing.

The UV-C also suppresses mould and biofilm on HVAC coils and drain pans — a biofilm of just 0.002″ can reduce coil efficiency by up to 37%, so keeping coils clean protects your system’s performance and running costs.
