Description
Philips UV-C Batten TMS160C 1x36W TUV SLV/6
The Philips TMS160C UV-C batten is a ready-to-wire surface disinfection fitting supplied complete with a Philips TUV T8 36W lamp and a high frequency electronic ballast. It is designed for the disinfection of surfaces across a wide range of professional applications.
The open batten gives broad, even UV-C irradiance. The level of disinfection achieved depends on lamp output, the distance to the surface and the exposure time. A highly reflective aluminium body directs more UV-C towards the surfaces being treated, and the lamp holders and end caps are shielded against UV-C to protect them over time.
Key features
- Complete fitting: batten, HF electronic ballast and Philips TUV T8 36W lamp included
- UV-C peak at 253.7 nm

Before you order
- This is an open UV-C fitting for professional use. It must only be used as part of a system with adequate safeguards – for example door interlocks, timers, occupancy sensors, warning signage and trained operators.
- No person or animal should be in the room while the batten is operating.
- Hard-wired fitting – installation must be carried out by a licensed electrician.
- Need help with exposure times, lamp spacing or safety controls? Talk to us on 07 3705 5995 or email info@australianuv.com.au.
- Prefer a version with a built-in safety sensor? See our UV-C Linear Disinfection with Safety Sensor.
Warnings and safety
- DANGER: Risk Group 3 ultraviolet product. This fitting emits high-power UV-C radiation that can cause severe injury to skin and eyes. Avoid any eye and skin exposure to the operating lamp.
- Always isolate power before servicing or changing the lamp.
- The lamp contains a small amount of mercury. If a lamp breaks, ventilate the room for 30 minutes, collect the parts (preferably with gloves) into a sealed plastic bag and take them to a local recycling facility. Do not use a vacuum cleaner.
- Plants and materials exposed to UV-C for long periods may become damaged or discoloured.
