Description
Philips Actinic BL TL-D 18W/10 – UV-A Insect Trap Lamp
The Philips Actinic BL TL-D 18W/10 is a UV-A “blacklight” tube made for insect light traps, bug zappers and electronic fly killers. Its output is tuned to the 350–400 nm range, which closely matches the eye sensitivity of the housefly, so the trap stays attractive to flying insects.
Please note this is a UV-A insect attractant lamp, not a UV-C germicidal lamp. It is not suitable for air, surface or water disinfection.

Before you order
- Check your existing tube is an 18 W, 600 mm T8 with G13 bi-pin ends.
- UV-A output drops as the lamp ages, well before the tube stops lighting. For insect traps, replacing tubes every 12 months (ideally before the warmer months) keeps the trap working as intended.
- Replacement lamp only – insect trap, ballast and starter are not included.
- Not sure it is the right lamp? Talk to us on 07 3705 5995 or email info@australianuv.com.au.
Warnings and safety
- Always isolate power before changing a lamp.
- Avoid staring directly at the operating lamp at close range for extended periods.
- Contains a small amount of mercury. If a lamp breaks, ventilate the room for 30 minutes, collect the parts (preferably with gloves) into a sealed plastic bag and take them to a local recycling facility. Do not use a vacuum cleaner.
