APCO-X Ultra Dual Lamp — Advanced Ducted Air Disinfection

The APCO-X Ultra Dual Lamp is Fresh-Aire UV’s most powerful ducted air treatment system, combining two UV-C germicidal lamps with a proprietary V-Twin EverCarbon Activated Carbon matrix to continuously disinfect your airstream and HVAC cooling coils. The dual lamp configuration delivers enhanced UV-C coverage — ideal for larger ducts or higher contamination environments.

How It Works

APCO uses Advanced Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) — UV-C light reacts with the titanium dioxide-infused activated carbon to physically break down and neutralise airborne contaminants, converting them into harmless water vapour and CO₂. Unlike conventional filters that only trap particulates, APCO treats the other two thirds: biological contaminants and chemical VOCs.

Important Installation Notes

To prevent accelerated degradation of plastic components due to UVC exposure, ensure all plastics in direct UVC irradiation paths (drain pans, condensate trays, ducting joints) are fully shielded using high-quality solid aluminium foil tape or equivalent UV-resistant shielding.

Safety

Always isolate the UVC system when changing lamps or performing maintenance. Wear full PPE including polycarbonate safety glasses when working near an illuminated UV emitter. UVC radiation is invisible and harmful to skin and eyes.
